3 Tools for Exploiting WiFi During Presentations
Nik Peachy reviews three tools for teachers and presenters to use to engage audiences and students in this post at Nik’s Technology Blog, including:
- TodaysMeet, a “back channel” conversation tool;
- Urtak, a tool for simple online polling; and,
- Sync.in, an online collaborative note-taking platform.
TeachThinkTech is intrigued by the idea of putting students’ phones, notebooks, and other mobile Internet devices to work in class as an alternative to banning them (which also means forfeiting all of the potential benefits of their use in learning, which is a high price to pay for minimizing distraction.)
I’d be curious to hear from readers who have tried putting these or similar tools to use in their own classes or presentations. (What did you use? How did it go?)
